Sunday servers

There are many ministry opportunities for those wishing to become involved in the Sunday service.  These include:


* Being a member of the altar party - duties include sub-deacon, crucifer, acolyte, eucharistic minister and torch bearer


* Verger -


* Scripture reader - reads the lessons from the Old and New Testament


* Intercessor - does the Prayers of the People portion of the liturgy


* Usher - Greet arriving congregants and visitors. hand out bulletins, bring forward the sacraments and guide those going to the altar for communion.


* Flowers - provides flowers for the Sunday service


* Fellowship -  provides light snacks and makes coffee for the fellowship time following the Sunday service 


* Altar guild - main responsibility is setting up and removing the Eucharist elements before and after the Sunday service. They also ensure the proper liturgical colors are in use and provide many other services concerning the altar area


* Prayer team - Providing healing prayer for those requesting it. Done following the service in the sanctuary


* Nursery/Children's chapel - provide care and education to the younger members of the congregation during the Sunday service
